Wax-it Histology Services Successfully Completes 2 GLP Studies

VANCOUVER, BC (September 8, 2011) — Wax-it Histology Services, a Canadian based preclinical histopathology contract research organization (CRO), is pleased to announce the successful completion of 2 studies under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) requirements.

GLP audits of the site and the studies were conducted by an independent QA consultant, under the OECD GLP Principles as required by the Standard Council of Canada (SCC), Canadian GLP Monitoring Authority. The audits, conducted in May 2011, were based upon review of the facilities, SOPs, and in-process inspection of the studies. Wax-it Histology Services is in the process of applying for recognition of GLP compliance through the SCC.

"The successful completion of our GLP audits reaffirm the company's compliance to OECD GLP Principles," commented Aruna Somasiri, President of Wax-it Histology Services.

"We are pleased to offer a GLP compliant environment to our clients. These positive GLP audits will help us to better serve our clients and continue to position Wax-it Histology Services as a high quality, full service preclinical histopathology CRO," added Aruna Somasiri."
